** This aircraft was involved in a fatal accident 4 miles east of Oxford
on 4th February 1957. Tragically both crew members were killed.
Ex 25 Squadron Meteor NF14 WS726/H has been restored to display
condition by 1855 (Royton) Squadron, Air Training Corp. This aircraft has been
at Royton since 1967. Full report of the restoration in the

aircraft is now on display at the
Newark Air Museum. WS739 was also the RAF Church Fenton gate guardian
(WS739 was then ex 1 Air Navigation School) and painted in 85 Squadron markings,
although it never actually flew with this squadron.
WS776/K Gate
Guardian at RAF North Luffenham until the 1990's then to Sandtoft and now at
Bournemouth Aviation Museum.
